Lifesentence360, Mobile ball and chain, toxic parent app, etc... Life360 has been making waves on the internet since it was created but recent research has shown that it isn’t all that safe. Before you shove this article into your paranoid parent’s face, read this because it could actually help both of you.

According to HealthyParents.org, Life360 has access to your web searches, photo gallery, passwords, and in turn, sells that information to 3rd party websites. If that’s not bad enough, hackers can access all of those things PLUS your location. Hackers, regardless of whether you’re on public WiFi or not, can access your location and information via “check-in” points via the app.

So, if hackers can access your photos and your location, that makes you exceptionally vulnerable to online predators. Parents, the best way to keep you and your family safe is to only allow the app access your location when it’s running or... maybe... just maybe... you can stop treating your children like they need to be monitored all day every day. Let them grow up. A simple Google search can give you pages and pages of reasons why you’re actually being extremely and from what a lot of 18-25 year olds are saying, they’re still being tracked by their parents so if you’re kids are over 18 then maybe it’s time to give the app up altogether. Seriously, they’re adults.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
