It’s been over two years since one-hit wonder and local rap legend Purple Wayne released his debut (and to this day only) single titled “Always Callin” featuring Sig Rillo (who, despite his best efforts in the music realm, is best known for The Cornfest Song). Purple Wayne (government name Jarvis Brown), quietly stepped away from the rap game, even in the midst of his lone single achieving a cult following of its own.

In the midst of swirling rumors that Purple had a comeback record in the world, the station was able to get in contact with his agent, Balso Hard. Although unwilling to directly answer the question, Mr. Hard seemed to indicate that a comeback was in the works. “Y’all know that ‘Jarvis’ means ‘greatness’? Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time, stepped away from the game for a couple years, much like Purple has. And he came back for another three ‘ships. I ain’t sayin, I’m just sayin.”

Mere hours after these comments, Purple Wayne posted a tweet that had fans in an absolute frenzy.

“Feelin like I’m Jordan back in ‘95, check the headline,” the tweet read.

And just like that, one of the best one and done performers of the modern era is poised to get back into the game. Although not entirely clear when the project will drop, its safe to say that we’ll all have a little something extra to look forward to this summer.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
