A 15-year-old boy with Asperger's syndrome (who wishes to remain anonymous) was on trial and under arrest for accessing network cameras due to being falsely reported on an online circle for Aspies. The boy testified that he uses four websites to find these cameras, one called Insecam which sorts the cameras by country, place, city, and timezone, another called Shodan which labels itself as 'the first IoT (Internet of Things) search engine', a third website called Google Hack Database which indexes Google searches that can be used to access vulnerable devices through the Internet, and lastly a fourth site called 'C4 Cameras' which is a custom GitHub page created by an individual the boy knows online. This boy was also part of a circle called "Controllable Webcams" which does exactly what he does. The boy was going to serve 6 months in Juvenile Detention for his actions until it was found out that he didn't actually commit any crimes.

The full angle of the situation was found out, the boy has been found out to be innocent the whole time. The reports about him were investigated, and it was found out that the boy was on an on-line circle for people with Asperger's Syndrome and told one of the users that he liked to access network cameras of cities, since the boy had his location on his profile page on said circle, this user called this boy a 'creep' and said they would 'report him to the police for being a creep' and then proceeded to insult the boy even further and say that they would 'ruin his life'. It was found out that he wasn't actually hacking into these cameras, and that they are actually completely unsecured, which makes the boy not guilty and free of any legal punishment.

The boy actually hasn't done anything illegal, according to his lawyer, Barry McVay, the boy only accesses network cameras that are completely unsecured (No username / password protection) and that the boy would only be breaking the law if he were to hack into cameras that do have username / password protection. The boy wasn't breaking any laws, as the network cameras he accessed are completely unsecured, thus can be accessed by anyone who so desires to access them, whether the original owner of said cameras wants it or not. It is a legal grey area, but it isn't illegal to do what this boy did, which is why he is now being revoked of his charges and can resume living his life as normal.

In conclusion, this boy went on an on-line circle for people with his mental disabilities and thought he could trust these individuals, and told them about his hobby, which is basically an internet version of 'people watching', aka the act of idly observing people walking by in a public area and some individual twisted what he does around to make it look like he's committing a serious cyber-crime in order to ruin his life. It's pathetic that people would actually go out of their way to ruin a teenage boy's life just because they find something morally wrong, at the end of the day, reason and logic completely trumps emotions / morals or whatever people feel is 'wrong'.

DISCLAIMER: This isn't a real news article, nor a real situation. I actually do these things, but I am not doing anything illegal. I checked online to make sure what I am doing is completely legal before I started doing it, and I found out that in my location (not saying it) it's completely legal but in a grey-area. This news article is created by me (the individual in this story) and the events in this story are not real and purely created by my mind for entertainment purposes ONLY and not designed to be taken seriously.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
