Blackpool skipper Jay Spearing says you can't beat a good derby day with the full backing of fans back inside Bloomfield Road.

" we know we are expecting a good away following from the other side of the fylde coast but we also know that there will be a hell of alot of home fans inside the stadium compared to recent years, I remember when Blackpool were in the championship just after they got relegated from the premier league and I came to play here when I was with Bolton and the stadium was pretty much empty. You look at it now on a match day and there's a difference. There is a little more quality from the fans and more support can spring you on as a team and hopefully that happens on Monday"

The Seasiders head into the game knowing that three points would see the club surpass last season's tally of 60 points in Sky Bet League One.

Of much greater overall need is a victory at home though, with Pool's last coming against Walsall in February.

The visitors, meanwhile, rescued a late point against Peterborough United on Friday and go in search of their first win of the month.

Team News:

Blackpool will make a late check on the availability of Antony Evans for the fixture, though Ollie Turton is definitely out after suffering a hamstring injury against Scunthorpe United. Donervon Daniels is pushing to return from injury, while Michael Nottingham could also be recalled to the squad. Mark Howard remains out injured.

Fleetwood will once again be without the services of on-loan Stoke City defender Harry Souttar due to suspension. Jack Sowerby, Dean Marney and James Wallace are also expected to miss out with ongoing injuries.

Tickets:

Tickets for away supporters only for the match will be on sale until 12pm on the day. The Bloomfield Road ticket office opens from 9am, with tickets remaining priced as follows:

- £25 for Adults
- £20 for Seniors
- £15 for Under-18s
- Free for Under-11s**

Please note : PRICE RISES £10 ON THE DAY

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
