Donald Trump announced late Friday that he was setting aside $6 Billion which was originally planned to be used as funding for his long promised border wall. Members of Homeland Security Finance Committee confirmed the re-purposing of the funds late Friday evening.

Supporters of Trump are expected to react negatively to this news, as many feel that adequate progress has not been made on the wall, a major campaign promise during Trump's Presidential Campaign in 2016.

Fox News anchor Shep Smith interviewed the President late Friday as he was en route to Mar A Lago. When asked the reasoning for the rearrangement of funding, Trump responded "Well, when you're trying to make a deal, like the one we've been working on with Kim Jong Un, you have to understand that it's about an exchange. Many people don't understand what it takes to reach an agreement like this. I've had to negotiate many deals in my life, and I can tell you that every one of them involved some sort of give and take. In this case, we have the opportunity to do what the previous administration could not do, which is denuclearize North Korea. The way we're going to make that happen is by investing in the relationship, and dedicating funds to help assist them in rebuilding some parts of their National Infrastructure."

Critics allege that this is merely a ploy by Kim Jong Un to gain access to US funding, and analysts are concerned that the money could be used to increase the progress that North Korea has made in its nuclear weapons program.

We will continue to follow this story, and will post updates as they become available.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
