Alexander Molina, 23, was arrested and booked into Clark County Detention Center Friday and charged with 4 second-degree felony counts of theft by receiving stolen property and 3 first-degree felony counts of fraud.

St. George Police officers were dispatched Wednesday to a business in possession of a stolen vehicle and told that Brann was transporting vehicles owned by his employer, an auto group based in Las Vegas, and selling them without the company’s knowledge or authorization.
Authorities in Clearwater Florida also confirm that Molina was transporting and selling vehicles in a similar manner.
During their employment with the auto group, they were tasked with handling the sale of used vehicles to a wholesale business based in the Las Vegas area, according to the probable cause statement filed in support of his arrest.
The employer began an internal investigation after realizing there were numerous cars missing and unaccounted for. It was soon discovered Molina had altered records to hide the fact they were taking the vehicles and selling them.
The auto group never received any proceeds from the sales and learned that some of the vehicles “have been gone for several months.”

“They brought the cars here to local dealerships where they sold them and kept the money,” St. George Police officer Tiffany Atkin said.
The sale of the vehicles went against the auto group’s policy and it “never gave Brann permission to sell cars to businesses other than their local distributor,” according to the statement.

The auto group was able to track at least 12 of the missing vehicles to St. George and another 31 to Florida. They were told by one of the local dealerships that during the sale they were allegedly told by the defendants to make the check payable to a “business that is not” the auto group in Las Vegas, the legal owners of the cars.
The auto group then contacted the Henderson Police Department in Nevada and reported the vehicles stolen. Shortly thereafter, Brann attempted to “recover the stolen vehicles from the local dealerships.”

When St. George Police officers interviewed him Brann claimed he was working on behalf of the auto group and was trying to recover the cars from the local dealerships because they never paid for them, police say.
He denied any wrongdoing, claiming it was “standard operating procedure,” according to the statement.
Atkin said the investigation is ongoing.
The duo are scheduled for an initial appearance Dec. 15 in 5th District Court and were both released on a $50,000 bail as this report publishes. As more information becomes available we will update you

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
