Up and coming 20 year old Khalif Bradley, filmmaker of "The Black Beverly Hills" gives us a sincere look at his hilltop community nicknamed "the Black Beverly Hills of Los Angeles," along with nearby neighborhoods Ladera Heights, Windsor Hills and Baldwin Hills, made up one of the most affluent predominantly African-American enclaves in the nation. We asked, up and coming filmmaker Khalif Bradley what he thinks about the people who disagree with his film.

"Dude, I create conversations that people are afraid to talk about. Most of the people I'm inspired by bended the social norms, and now I'm one of them." We asked Khalif who his inspirations were-

"Elon Musk, Tupac, Hugh Hefner, those type of guys." I like people who change the world because they want to, no matter how taboo people think it is. I'm into creating things that make people think a certain way, or in a way they've never thought before.

Residents of View Park, with its curving, palm-lined streets, stunning views and movie star quality homes, have for decades fought any proposal that they thought threatened their neighborhood’s special qualities — including its solid sense of African American identity.

Now a move that strikes many as an accolade — an effort to put View Park on the National Register of Historic Places — has blown up into a particularly contentious fight. We asked Bradley what his future plans were and what we can expect from him.

"I'm working on my second film, which we'll start filming some point in the summer. I'm into arcades. I plan on opening a chain of arcades and entering into the world of business at some point soon."

The documentary is available to watch on YouTube.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
