As most people know P.E is most kids favorite class, but it won't be for long, because a new law that was proposed yesterday may ban it from all schools, public and private. The law was proposed by Florida Representative Matt Sonhan and is called the "Keep Kids Learning Act." It is likely the law will pass because it has been endorsed by many Florida lawmakers.

According to Matt Sonhan P.E is a "Waste of time and should not be involved in any schools curriculum." He also says "Banning P.E would lead to more time for core subjects like English, Math, Science, and History." John Culpart, a student at West Broward City High says "I will be very sad to see P.E go, it is one of my favorite classes and I think all my classmates would agree."

Many experts are debating whether the "Keep Kids Learning Act" will work or not. David Sellington, an education professor at FSEU in Florida says "All this law is going to do is make people mad, schools end earlier, and kids get less of break during school. It will lead to kids getting a worse education, which I know one wants." But education professor from SEU in Florida, Tim Joseph says "This law is Great! schools will have more time for core classes because with one less period to teach schools can extend class periods, also with one less teacher to pay schools will have more money, and more money leads to kids getting a better education.

The vote for the "Keep Kids Learning Act" is Friday March 6th 2020 in Tallahassee.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
