Reports indicate "Sunflower Cares Day Health Center" in Bayonne, NJ may be the new epicenter for the Corona virus in the U.S. This comes after 2 health care workers filed an anonymous report early Monday with the Hudson county office of Health and Human Services. The report outlines a systematic downplay of flu-like symptoms by the adult care center. As many as 5 residents have experienced symptoms indicative of corona virus infection. However, healthcare workers were told to treat for a stomach flu which has a persistent presence in elder care facilities.

Darice Toon, Director of Health and Human Services stated, “It is troubling that administrators were actively suppressing knowledge of this outbreak to local officials, as their duty is towards the well-being of the community. This gross negligence warrants a thorough investigation that would ultimately see those responsible prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law”.

The 5 residents in question have tested positive for the Corona virus and have been transported to Jersey City Medical Center. An additional 6 residents and 4 health care workers are being treated for symptoms at Jersey City Medical Center where they are expected to test positive for the COVID-19 virus. Officials have since quarantined the Bayonne adult care center and will be canvassing the area to obtain an accurate picture of how the healthcare workers interacted with the local community.

One health worker was also employed part-time at the local Costco on Goldsborough Drive. Health officials are monitoring the situation as it has the potential to become a new front for the virus. At a press conference earlier this afternoon Toon reiterated “all residents should remain calm as chances of infection are low if you have not come into contact with individuals. If you feel unwell please report to Bayonne Medical Center. We are setting up a triage unit at the facility and are equipped to diagnose COVID-19 infection.” This shocking revelation comes after 2 new cases of corona virus in New York on Monday, no word if they are related.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
