Korean boy band BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) might be breaking up. The Korean boyband are now faced with the problem of South Koreans military training program which will inevitably lead to them not being the full band that everyone loves for around 8 whole years. Conscription in South Korea has existed since 1957 and requires male citizens between the ages of 18 and 28 to perform compulsory military service. Women are not required to perform military service, but they may join the military. BTS’s fans known as ‘army’ are sensitive towards the topic and don’t like taking about the inevitable break up. The oldest member, Kim Seok-jin, who is now 27 years of age will be forced to enlist in the army. It appears that the real army beats the army fandom.

BTS have come a long way, from being one of the most discriminated bands that had little respect in the music industry and amongst other fandoms, to being the band that has spread the genre of ‘k-pop’ worldwide. They have won over 25 awards , the most prestigious being the ‘melon music awards’.

The leader of the band, Kim namjoon (also known as RM) said he prefers not to speak of the matter, but understands that one day they will have to face it head on. They know with armys support they will make it through this period of their lives , but guarantee that once this is over they will be ready to the music that has struck the world.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
