Australian researcher's work paid off after fast-tracking large-scale human testing to see if a vaccine used for decades to prevent tuberculosis could protect health workers from COVID-19, as they announced Friday.

The trial of the BCG vaccine was conducted with 4,000 health workers in hospitals around Australia to determine if it can reduce COVID-19 symptoms, the researchers at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute in Melbourne said.

"We saw a great reduction in the prevalence and severity of COVID-19 symptoms in healthcare workers receiving the BCG vaccination," said lead researcher Nigel Curtis.

The sad part of all of this is that it was all a prank for Idris Ilmi to get him to 1) look a fool and 2) smile because april fools honey:)

However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
