Governor Gordon announces that all WY students will repeat current grade level next year, including Seniors

Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon announced today in a shocking press release that all students in Wyoming will repeat their current grade level next school year.

Including high school seniors.

This is due to all Wyoming Schools currently being shut down due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. The Wyoming Department of Education does not believe that online schooling is an effective way for children to learn and will be requiring students to make up for for what they will be missing during the statewide shutdown. High school seniors will also be required to repeat senior year next year and will not receive a diploma this year.

“This was not an easy decision for myself and the Wyoming Department of Education to make. But it was a necessary one given the current circumstances and to ensure our children are getting a proper education” Gordon said

Governor Gordon also said to calm your horses because today is also April Fool’s Day.

The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
