Een hallucinant filmpje laat zien hoe een 16 jarige jongedame achter het stuur van een Porsche zit en door een volwassen man wordt aangemoedigd om sneller en sneller te rijden. Het jongedame scheurt door de bebouwde kom in het West-Vlaamse Jabbeke en haalt tot 106 km per uur. Meer dan dubbel zo snel als toegelaten dus. De volwassene die alles filmt moest er hard om lachen. De rit eindigt zonder brokken, maar de beelden krijgen zonder twijfel een gerechtelijk gevolg. Intussen heeft de politie de jongedame geïdentificeerd. Afgelopen zaterdagmiddag. De jongedame op de passagierszetel schiet de eerste beelden van zijn drie minuten durende video. Heel duidelijk is te zien dat een meisje van 16 alleen achter het stuur zit. De leren zetel van de Porsche Cayenne staat zo dicht bij het stuur geschoven dat het meisje zelf tot bij de pedalen kan. Achterin de wagen zit ook een vrouw, mogelijk de vriendin van het jongedame van 16 jaar oud.
Op de beelden is te zien hoe het meisje zich op de weg concentreert terwijl ze staat te zingen. Merkwaardig genoeg lijkt het meisje goed te beseffen wat ze doet.
De eigenaar van de Porsche is intussen bekend, bevestigt de woordvoerder van de politiezone Kouter. "Onze diensten hebben haar zelf opgespoord. Ze zal nu zo snel mogelijk verhoord worden en krijgt al zeker één proces-verbaal voor het ter beschikking stellen van een voertuig van iemand die geen rijbewijs heeft. Daarna is het aan de rechter om te beslissen welke straf ze krijgt. Het meisje zelf kan niet gestraft worden gezien haar jonge leeftijd", klinkt het.

"Iemand die te snel rijdt is een vierdegraadsovertreding, of één van de zwaarst mogelijke overtredingen in onze wegcode", zegt Kathleen Stinckens, persmagistraat en politierechter in Leuven.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
