TikTok is taking pictures of their user's faces at all times

Perhaps one of the most pervasive longstanding technology conspiracy theories is that your smartphone is constantly spying on you.

Most recently Wandera, a mobile cyber-security company, set out to test the “phone-snooping” theory, saying its customers seem constantly worried about the issue.

As elaborated in their blog post, the TikTok app provides fun to the users, secretly scrape their data and taking silent pictures.
The main purpose of all the data exfiltration through this app is for monetary gain. The more data developers gather from the users, the more money they will make.

Doing a little math reveals that a popular app with, for instance, 10 million users, can even make $80,000 per month. Albeit, the apps in the study boast an even larger number of users.

It’s certainly unnerving, and the most simple explanation is one of direct surveillance or simple profit

The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
