Ten years ago, Oak Hills Basketball Head Coach Mike Price was "a hero." While up in Columbus, he saw an accident, where a 52-year old woman was rear ended and stuck in her car. He came to the rescue and got her out of the car. He thought nothing of it.
Over the last decade, the two had stayed in touch sparingly. This week, ten years after the accident, they met for just the second time.
"It has been one of the wildest relationships of my life," said Price. "Some people come into your life for the craziest of reasons, and she is one of those people. It was unfortunate how it happened, but I am lucky to call her [and her husband] a friend.
At the time, Teresa Howard wanted to stay anonymous.
"For whatever reason, I was embarrassed about what happened. But I want people to know that the story was real and the Mr. Price is an unbelievable person.
Teresa did not know who Price was ten years ago, although many people around the state did, and still do. Price has now won over 400 games as the Head Coach for the Highlanders, as well as many more coaching AAU. He is well-renown for his basketball IQ, and being a father figure for hundreds of young men over the last 35 years.
"I don't care about his ability to coach basketball. He's not a coach to me. He is just an incredible man," Ms. Howard said. "We have a bond that no one else can understand."

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
