Famous pop singer Sheppard was charged today with vehicular assault following ongoing investigation into an incident that happened earlier this year with a handicapped fan. Gavin Walters, age 12, of Hackinsaw, Arkansas, was an avid fan of singer Sheppard, even attending his concerts twice. Gavin got ahold of Sheppard’s cellphone number in April and so called “spammed” him with messages to show his support. Sheppard became quickly outraged and began calling Gavin a “Geronimo”, a slur typically used toward handicapped people. Gavin has been wheelchair bound since birth due to severe Spina Bifida. Sheppard was in contact with local police authorities in Hackinsaw to stop Gavin from “spamming” him, but it was deemed a simple misunderstanding from a young fan. Over two months later, on June 11th of this year, things escalated quickly. Sheppard drove 46 miles to Hackinsaw and confronted Gavin at his home. After words were exchanged through the door, an anonymous source informed Channel 45 News that Sheppard was going “Insane” and “busted through the doors...Sheppard grabbed Gavin in his wheelchair and yanked him toward the street” Allegedly, Sheppard went back into his black 2005 Volkswagen Beetle and slammed into Gavin in his wheelchair going approximately 30 miles per hour. Authorities were called to the scene and arrested Sheppard for vehicular assault. Gavin luckily sustained minor injuries. We attempted to make contact with Sheppards team but got no response besides a harsh email from Sheppard himself, stating that “Gavin is a f*cking geronimo”. Sheppard spent 41 days in Brickeys County Prison in Arkansas. While incarcerated, Sheppard wrote his soon to be hit single “Say Geronimo” and mailed it to his team who later released it. Fans and listeners at the time were unaware that “Geronimo” was a slur of any kind. After his 41 days served, Sheppard was issued 5 years of community service and his license was revoked. Upon Sheppard’s release from prison, public outcry rung in Hackinsaw, wanting justice for Gavin. After contacting the local DA office, a new investigation into this entire incident was opened to redo the trial and review the case. Today, November 17th, 2020, Sheppard has been officially charged with Vehicular Assault in the first degree and will serve up to 5 years in prison. Say Geronimo” went viral and is still popular today, but the story behind it and the dark meaning the word has is unknown to most people. Channel 45 News: Hackinsaw.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
