Derby drinkers were astonished and delighted last night in the city as top light entertainer " The Frisco Kid " made a surprise appearance.

Joan and Shirley Johnson , both of no fixed abode, spoke candidly about their amazing stroke of luck as he chose them out of hundreds of Derby revellers enjoying the nightlife of the city bars.

Joan said " We were just about to leave the Metro bar on Vic Street heading for the City Tavern when all of a sudden there he was , larger than life, and immediately approached us and gave us a hug, it was wonderful , one of those once in a lifetime moments . You know what I mean?
just grabbed us and had our picture taken , we were on cloud nine all night afterwards "

Shirley was beside herself and swore she was,n t going to wash her face for weeks after having a lovely smacker on her cheeks.

"The Frisco Kid " alias Patrick Annable is noted for delivering light entertainment in and around the East Midlands and his so called because he has a natural habit of frisking the girls.

Noted for wearing a large Mexican sombrero , he delights audiences with his witty banter and awkward dance routines, and has packed rooms now for well over 2 months, notably back street boozers and working mens clubs.

Speaking of his career , Patrick recalls many happy memories of meeting all the girls and having photos taken wearing his hat , saying what a fantastic career change it has been , since leaving Celanese as a toilet inspector.

Unfortunately since this photo was taken Patrick has been remanded pending investigations into claims of grabbing a womans backside as she bent down and is currently launching an appeal.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
