The controversy over cutbacks in the NHS has become an increasing issue, with the blame poised over the government, as the NHS are experiencing the biggest sustained fall in NHS spending in any period since 1951. This, has no doubt, troubled the staff and patients in our South West public hospitals, with the R,D & E on the highest of cutbacks in the last decade.

A growing number of healthcare leaders are expressing concerns about a funding crisis in the NHS. For instance, in November 2015, the chair person of the R,D & E NHS Foundation Trust warns that the hospital faces wide scale financial collapse.

On the contrary, members of the NHS have been significantly noticed for their gratitude and loyalty to the Trust service. Exeter's main hospital have not only been experiencing cutbacks and ongoing protests, but admiring the likes of employers within their service. The upfront noticeable members, such as Carole Boulanger, who is the Consultant Nurse of the ITU unit; she has been admired for her hard work and focus throughout the years. Ward sister Sarah Crackett, who has been serving on Bovey Ward, has also been noticed for her ongoing work for over 21 years in the same department. In Addition, endless hours behind the frontline of our R,D&E have also needed more recognition, with the likes of Christopher Peek, store keeper of Pathology Stores, who has been devoted to the NHS for over 13 years. His ongoing work is applauded by many, along with Jane Western, who works in the domestic services for over a decade.

With constant negative feed in the media about our NHS, the positive work and appreciation of many staff and members has been "a touching change for the media," as said by Jason Harries, Managing Director of the R,D & E.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
