After hearing stories regarding a Spirit on the mountains of Malshej, our team decided to travel to the much hyped location of Malshej MTDC resort and find it ourselves.
Not long ago, this surreal place on Malshej ghat was on everyone's list to escape their busy lives. Its located about 150 kms away from Mumbai, and is known for its natural beauty surrounded by breath taking view of the valley. Once you make it to the top, the view is stunningly beautiful. Its as close to heaven as you can get. But it quickly turns to an eerie experience as the night falls.As described by many other tourists, the White Ghost felt like nothing but a rumor straight from a Bollywood movie. But soon we were about to be proven wrong and were handed an unforgettable experience of a lifetime.
We had to walk through a dark alley back to our Cottage after the dinner. My stomach started turning, as if the Ghost is right behind me. But seemed like the chicken curry we had didn't sit well with my stomach. So I decided to go for a stroll with Abhishek, another blogger from our team. We joked about the White Ghost, on our way out to the main gates of the premises. The place which seemed with full of people and breath taking views in the daylight, looked like ghost-town at night. The uneasy feeling started to creep on us and the cold winds didnt help either. Wise words from the head of team started to ring in my ears.. " dont venture too far for it might be your last adventure...." Not sure what Sheila meant by it.
I snapped back to reality, as I realized my lungs were being filled with that horrible smell. It was Abhishek, a chain smoker. He was staring into the dark with a lit cigarette, almost frozen. By the time I tried to make sense of what was going around, we heard a loud thud followed by a muffled scream. At that moment, we realized that it was not just the two of us standing there looking into the abyss. Something or rather someone was staring back at us from the darkness. By the time we could control our guts, a white floating silhouette appeared and starting inching towards us. It had this mystic eyes but almost no face. I usually never believe in ghosts, but this was something else. Every atom in my body screamed to turn around and run for your life. But somehow we were fixated onto the eyes. The mystical figure was merely 10 feet away from us and we slowly started moving backwards, with our eyes still glued onto it.
Another loud scream, this time it wanted us to bleed from our ears. We ran as fast as we could, never looking back until we reached the reception gates. Our veins were pumped with the adrenaline and heart was almost about to explode. Somehow, we manage to compose ourselves and look towards where we came from. There it was; the infamous White Mountain ghost outside the premises. It felt as if the gate was spell bound and the spirit couldn't enter inside. We didn't spend another second there, and went back to our cottage.
Sheila looked at us furiously, as if the spirit had entered her body. But we realized that she knew what happened outside. She asked us to sleep right away, without uttering a word, and so we did. We had an early checkout the next day, so that we could avoid the Mumbai traffic and get on with our daily job of punching in the keys.
On our way back, we had debriefed Sheila about everything that happened in those 5 mins and she refused to believe any of it. Asked us to go on about our routine and find another good story to write about. I shall continue to update this unforgettable experience once I get enough evidence to prove it to Sheila.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
