Viral berita di media sosial yang ramai memberitakan bahwa server dan data KPU diserang hacker pasca pemilu menjadi perhatian khusus pemerintah khususnya KPU dan BAWASLU.

Demi menjamin keamanan data KPU dan BAWASLU bekerja sama dengan para hacker tanah air dan beberapa praktisi scurity system.

Sigit Pamungkas selaku anggota KPU pusat menuturkan:
"jangan mudah termakan isu, kami tidak main-main dalam menjaga keaslian data, jadi masyarakat jangan khawatir."

"Selain para praktisi IT kami juga bekerja sama dengan beberapa hacker tanah air"
Sigit Pamungkas menambahkan ketika ditemui di kantor KPU (Kamis 18/4/2019),

Beberapa sumber memang mengklaim bahwa pemerintah "tidak sendirian" dalam penanganan scurity system,
sebut saja INDONESIA CYBER UNDERGROUND, INDONET DEFENSE, INDONESIA BACKTRACK TEAM adalah beberapa kelompok anonymous yang ikut menjaga dan mengamankan jaringan server pemerintah.

LALU BENARKAH SERVER KPU BISA DI HACK?

Berikut keterangan dari Joe Spark salah satu anggota Indonesia Cyber Underground saat dimintai keterangan mengenai hal tersebut;

"Downnya sebuah server public bisa saja karena diserang dengan sengaja melalui tekni flood, denial of service (DDoS) dan sebagainya, tapi hal tersebut bukan berarti dicuri datanya". kata Joe Spark (18/4/2019)

Menurutnya tidak akan mudah menembus server KPU dan BAWASLU karena diperlukan teknik yang sangat khusus.

“Bisa saja data masuk dimanipulasi dengan serangan-serangan berjenis MITM (man in the middle attack), bisa saja attacker mencegat jalur resmi kemudian memanipulasinya dengan teknik data spoofing, namun untuk hal-hal tersebut bisa terjadi syaratnya adalah minimal si attacker harus mampu menembus ISP (internet service provider) dan menginvasi subnet network dimana server KPU ditempatkan. Server KPU itu seperti MLM banyak cabangnya hahahaa” tambahnya.

Senada dengan pernyataan di atas, menurut Zico sebagai praktisi scurity system ia mengatakan bahwa server KPU dugambarkan seperti sebuah lautan yang memiliki banyak kanal sungai, dan data pemilu tersimpan aman di parit-parit kecil dari kanal tersebut.
