Local Northeastern Middle School Teacher Wins $20 Million on Lottery Ticket But Says She Will Still Teach

A local teacher in Fountain City, Indiana had no idea how drastically her life would change when she decided to buy a $5 lottery ticket, something she rarely does. Sixth grade social studies teacher, Brittani Reno, said she thought she had read something wrong when she realized she was a winner. Ms. Reno said, "I looked at the ticket about 25 times before I really started to believe it. I just couldn't imagine something like this happening to me." When asked what she planned on doing with her winnings, Ms. Reno said that she would take a trip to Europe, pay off her student loans, and help her parents with bills. She also said that she would not be quitting her job. "I love teaching and this doesn't change that. I would be so bored if I quit and just sat at home all the time," said a smiling Ms. Reno. She hopes to also put some of her winnings towards some upgrades at Northeastern Middle School.

However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
