UPS worker, Jeff Garner, found more than he expected while delivering a package to US Bank in 2010. "I walked with a pile of boxes loaded up on the dolly. As I glanced over towards the bank manager's office, there she was!", Jeff recounted the memories he suppressed through the many years of searching. "She was instructing her employees to arrange the hundred dollar bills in all the same direction and pack them neatly in a suitcase. As I headed back to my delivery truck, I wondered if I would ever get the chance to talk to her," explained the tearful Jeff. He went back the next day and learned she had gone to the Caribbean and wouldn't be back for several weeks. "It was eight years til I seen her again!", cried Jeff.
Beth had made her way through the Caribbean Islands and then back through the southern states before returning to her position as a bank manager. "I remember asking, Hey, did anybody ever see that UPS driver that used to come in here with deliveries? But nobody seemed to know which guy I was talking about, so..." Beth went on to explain that she decided that she may never see him again. That is until one day, Jeff walked into the pro shop to set up his tee time. "There she stood looking like a tall lean drink of cool, crisp water! I couldn't believe after 8 years, I found her again!", Jeff tearfully explained. Jeff asked her out and within 2 years, they had their wedding planned. It has been nearly 3 weeks since they said, "I do!" Was it love at first sight? According to Jeff, he could think of nobody else for 8 years. Pictured below, Beth and Jeff are preparing for their first trip to Europe.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
