Gamecocks Removed From SEC, Athletics Downgraded to Junior College Status

University of South Carolina officials confirmed today that the Southeastern Conference has revoked the university's status as a member in good standing. The SEC announced it will award the vacant position to The Citadel beginning in the fall of 2018.
Citadel officials were estatic, stating that this was "the greatest victory for the college since it defeated the Gamecocks In 2015."
Meanwhile, The Clemson Tigers are undefeated and poised to return to the College Football National Championship for the third straight year. (AP)
