Three members of a gang which cloned credit cards to steal £276,000 of fuel,clothes and paid for luxury apartments from across the country are facing charges.
The plot operated in Manchester, east London, Essex, Birmingham and Hull.
The gang skimmed 567 cards using sophisticated meathods.
Alexandra Felix, prosecuting, told Manchester crown court their criminal associates also operated in Oldham and Wigan.
The ring was smashed after the fraudsters were seen using stolen credit cards at 17 different venues.
Zahir Ali , 22, From Bury greater Manchester supplied the skimmer to relative Asghar Hussain, 24,(Bury greater Manchester) who copied card details while working in Carphone Warehouse in Bury.
Zahir distributed the cloned cards to his cohorts and joined Arfan Khan, 23,from Oldham Who would go on and use the card at various venues.
Ms Felix said: “These defendants conspired together and with persons unknown to steal goods using stolen credit card details.
Ringleaders Asghar and Zahir were behind the sophisticated fraud, as evidence found at their properties revealed when zahir's parents house was raided on the 11/08/16 stolen credit card details and a further £11,000 was found in cash in a bedroom wardrobe.
Asghar had made transfers to Pakistan accounts totalling £48,000, and a further £4,500 of cash was found at his girlfriends home.
Ms Felix will carry on with the trial early next year.
Case was ajurned till late January 2017.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
