In 2017 there was a survey done by the president of the education committee (EC) where they asked 6th through 12th graders how much homework they get in a week, shockingly 76 of them said that they spend over 2 hours a night on homework and some don't even get it all complete!the other 24 said they either have no homework or chose to not do their homework at all.
A boy named Runs Miles says that he is a 3.5 gpa student on his schools cross country team, plays soccer, and is the president of his schools key club says "by the time i get home from school and sports it is 8 at night, i have to eat my dinner in the shower and do my homework at 10pm. I get in bed by 12 every night then wake up and do it all again the next day." The EC also asked the students teachers if they had ever considered that these children have sports or other extra curricular activities after school and do not get home in time to eat and finish homework and relax before bed.
One teacher in particular, named Mrs. Christine Anderson from Burlington High School in Wyoming said that "I reached out to the president to see if there was something he could do to help these kids, I had no idea he actually reads the letters people send him! He sent me a letter saying to explain ideas i have to help the students of our country." She goes on to explain her plans for a better American school system. The EC met with her September 17th to talk about plans and laws and they have a final meeting November 2018 to finalize all matters.
thanks to the EC and the amazing teachers our country has homework will be banned by the 2019-2020 school year. With home work officially being banned the american students will have plenty of time to do sports, be in clubs, have a social life and actually eat dinner!

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
