Thats Right folks, smith is back and hes taking names and kicking "Gas". It's No secret Eric Smith (Clay) of the 989 Birel has always showed up in style since his debut in 2015 and it was no different over the Weekend For Thors Elkhart Riverwalk Grandprix. Smith arrived last minute without even being registered in his likely fashion with his signature look of a lifted truck and no holds attitude with The Red Baron Birel chassis. Coming back after a 1 year Hiadeous in USAC ,The Famed Nike Shoe Throttle Junkie arrived with a view different looks this race. Not only did he trade in the Trademark Fresh Nikes for alpines but he also had a new sidekick and we're not talking a phone. Sporting The new kicks, smith was scene walking around all weekend with some new arm candy. The Tall, dark haired stunner was seen on track and in pits sporting an infectious smile that didnt go unnoticed by any. Running with the normal pre race gremlins ,smith missed quals in Heat 1 creating him to start dead last . Rumour having it a small tire issue voided his runnings in qualifications, we cant help but wonder if the gorgeous, unnamed beauty queen was the real cause for his distractions. Running mid pack Smith was able to double pedal 16 racers in the front stretch landing him a 17th position seat before turn 1,a tall feat if you ask us for a driver just returning. Smith would go on to get noticed by Hoosier Tire Reps in which a small convo was hashed out after heat 2 between the 989 and sponsors. Unsure of what the topic was Smith finished the weekend in a glorious fashion as always with 3 wheels and the left rear wobbling more than a Teenage Boy seeing the beautiful Miss 989 in the pits. Who ever she is,we know she better come back and we can only hope she brings along the 989 and his infamous monster Trucks and Nikes

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
