With Halloween upon us we visited some of the streets in the South Wales Valleys to take a closer look at the money people are wasting on needless festive decorations in order to just scare children and other residents.
Out of the three villages that we attended which included Ebw Vale, Pentwyn and Abertillery we came across many properties that caused us concern for the public as well as ourselves.
The property that we concluded would certainly cause distress for any sane minded member of the public was in Pentwyn. As we drove down Belverdere Close we became aware of one property with both children and adults playing in the front garden which had many scary decorations adorned which included what looked like a human body wrapped in a black bin-liner as well as skeleton bones and amputated limbs scattered around what appeared to be several headstones. Many of those at the property were also appearing into the garden at regular intervals dressed up in frightening costumes spattered with blood.
We asked one resident who wished to remain anonymous what they thought of all this and she stated that "it`s an utter waste of money if you ask me and it brings shame on the street. How are any children supposed to play outside their own homes when you have idiots like that scaring them with all that frightening stuff in their front garden. Things like this should be banned".

Do you think Halloween decorations should be banned/Have you ever had a bad experience with frightening Halloween props?

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
