Last week a class of online students at Yakima Valley College posted in a discussion board about the many rantings of Donald Trump on the social media website Twitter. Some students applauded Trump's tweets, but most were astonished. One student, however, decided to take it further than to simply post on a discussion board. This student decided instead to begin a petition to have Trump banned from Twitter and end his villainous tweets.

"No longer will I sit back and act as if these things don't matter. I will not allow Trump to disrespect the people of the United States or the world beyond! Sign my petition to have Donald Trump forever banned from Twitter. Take away his right to share his heinous thoughts in 140 characters or less!" This was posted on the discussion board followed by cheers of encouragement. His peers commented, "signed" to signify that they had contributed to the petition to take Trump off of Twitter.

In the week following, screenshots of the Canvas-based discussion have gone viral. People around the world have signed up to take Trumps voice off of Twitter, and it has garnered 14,489,574,985 signatures! This petition was not only a list of people against Trumps tweeted words, but each signature stood for a threat to boycott Twitter. This would destroy the social media site, and their stocks had already begun to decline in value, so they conceded. Trump's profile was removed and his privilege to share short thoughts was taken with it.

The student responsible for the petition will receive a Nobel Peace Prize in the upcoming months as a reward for his service to the people of the United States and beyond.

Next Wednesday Trump will hold a press conference to discuss this. He was going to tweet about it, but...

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
