Usually we think that living in small towns that life is fairly quiet and low key and most of the time it is. But on the evening of October 22 things were not so quiet according to some neighbors in the small rural village of Goodsoil, Saskatchewan.
At approximately 9:15 pm on October 22, people on a normally quiet street were rousted out of their armchairs by dogs barking and howling. Several people went outside too investigate the disturbance. One man was quoted as saying, " I thought that the thieves were back at it again". The village and surrounding rural area has had break ins and thefts quite frequently over the past few years.
Fortunately this was not the case this night. The disturbance was particularly strange this time.
"I thought someone was dying or being tortured", said one resident. " the sound was so bad it would have woke up the dead", said a woman.
The sound was coming from a house on the street. Some of the men went to the house to investigate the "noise". They informed us that the sound was louder and ear shattering upon getting closer to said house. One of the men knocked on the door while another went to peer into a window fearing the worst.
Much to their astonishment it was not what they thought. The woman of the residence was having a shower and singing at the top of her lungs!!
No amount of knocking on the house door alerted the woman. The "singing" progressed for another hour. The residents finally called the RCMP.
The local RCMP attempted to get the woman's attention by pounding on the front door, but she could not hear them. Finally she finished her shower and realized there was someone at her door.
The woman was questioned and taken into custody for disturbing the peace and interrupting the peaceful evening of television watching.
The woman was released on the morning of October 23 at 7:00 am with an issued "gag" order.
No animals were harmed during the incident.
All names have been withheld.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
