It appears that Ban Cynder has decided to relocate the Steamers from Cleveland to Louisiana and is planning to make the announcement later on this evening in Louisiana, according to someone close to the team owner.
The person, who requested anonymity, would not provide details about the Louisiana purchase, but he said that a proposed renovation to the team's fantasy logo would not be enough to keep Cynder from moving the team. The Steamers have been in Cleveland since 2010 dating back to before the VFL reform.
"There's nothing I can say about it at this time," Cynder said of the move last night.
Reports of an impending announcement regarding a move to Louisiana sent Cleveland city officials scrambling last night. An emergency meeting was called to hammer out an 11th-hour proposal to present to Cynder over the weekend.
"There is no question we made an effort," Hagan said.
Exactly why Cynder didn't pursue the discussion remains a mystery although, sources close to Cynder who wish to remain anonymous cite "Years of bad luck for all sports teams in this city" as a major factor in the decision to move.
The Steamers have started this season 2-5 despite being the second highest scorer in the VFL and the news to move the team doesn't seem to be a coincidence after losing to the previously worst team in the league on Sunday.
The Steamers new name and logo will be revealed tonight with the team's arrival announcement with a crowd that is expected to be larger than the one of President Trump's inauguration.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
