"Skunkpark" local skatepark turned popular hangout for drug smoking teenagers

Craigie skatepark in Ayr has this recently been referred to by local police and councillors as "a hangout for weed smoking outcasts"
The skatepark is situated directly next to a primary school grounds and council owned playpark and parents and teachers aren't happy.
"When I come to pick my child up all I smell is strong cannabis all around the air" says parent clairé beaver , other parents claim they are "scared to take there children to the park incase a glass bottle of alcohol gets thrown and injures someone"
"Everyday there must be 20-50 teens gathering there taking part in a handful of anti social behaviour
Such as recreational drug use and alcohol, vandalism, fights etc" says local officer pc Cree pictured with colleagues and teen Craig sears,16 taken after being cuffed for possession of class b drug cannabis and also accessories related to smoking cannabis
When questioned by police the teen replied " it's not green it's out of date baccy"
"It really is getting out of hand" says Ayr police station after receiving a handful of calls a day for the last few months involving incidents at the park. They have responded with " we are well aware of the situation and as a result will be putting more foot officers on patrol there to make sure the public are reassured

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
