Last week scientists at the university of Florida successfully made a new orange-kiwi fruit hybrid. They started this research in order to combine the nutrients from multiple fruits to make it easier for people across america to consume the proper vitamins and nutrients. The orange-kiwi hybrid will be released on the american market in April of next year.
The name of the new fruit is still being debated but the most popular names include Korange, Kowi and Kiwange. Multiple companies have already voiced their interest in the new fruit such as Minute Made, No Name and Danon. The research has a whopping 20 million dollars of government funding for 2018 and is expected to receive another 10 million from private investors. The fruit is expected to cost $0.05 a gram.
This new fruit is one of the biggest discoveries of 2018 and is expected to decrease malnourishment in kids aged 3-13 by 20 in the next 5 years as the fruit contains vitamin C, B1, K and E along with nutrients like potassium, calcium, fiber and magnesium. Just 90 grams of the orange-kiwi will contain the nutrients equivalent to 2 oranges and 2 kiwis combined. Doctors say one orange-kiwi a day will fill the fruit portion required by the American food guide.
The orange-kiwi will revolutionize health in the modern world and is expected to make waves throughout the world. Ready or not here they come!

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
