Feral disease has ignited in NYC and has become the 10th city with reports of the Feral disease
in North America.

According to the CDC, Feral disease have been known to carry or transmit over 30 diseases and 37 parasites that can be transmitted to livestock, people, pets, and wildlife. Feral can carry several diseases that affect humans ... Once prevalent in feral swine populations, the disease would be extremely difficult to eradicate.

To date there are 5 humans affected with the Feral disease. In addition, a local shelter that has worked for years to live up to its no-kill policy has had to euthanize more than 60 animals as part of efforts to stop the spread of a deadly virus.

The Feral disease attacks the organs and blood vessels of pets and humans, prompting a lack of co-ordination and bleeding through the nose. It first showed up in Denver, Colorado but has now spread to NYC and as far west as LA.

It’s the first North American outbreak of the virus, which is used intentionally in New Zealand and Australia to cull populations of feral.

Certain species native to North America are immune, but can spread the virus, as can predatory animals, insects and humans. It’s highly contagious and can linger in the environment for weeks.

This week, the Westchester Animal Protection Society put this under quarantine after finding dead feral humans on their property. The bodies were sent for testing and the shelter’s chief executive Eli Lightmen immediately ordered vaccines from Europe, but they didn’t arrive in time.

Three days later, the humans in the shelter started deteriorating.

“It’s a horrible and It’s excruciatingly painful,” Mr. Lightmen said.

“We are traumatized as an organization right now,” It’s an infrastructure that was built over years and years. … Everything has to be incinerated,” Mr. Lightmen said.

The vaccines they ordered will be donated to the homeowners in the affected areas.

Because there has never been a large outbreak of the virus in North America before, the vaccine isn’t actually approved for use in Canada and required an emergency authorization from government.

“There’s so many unanswered questions. It’s just frustrating. I don’t know if we are just sitting ducks, if we're all going to be dead two months from now,” Ms. Furnell said.

“People are quite panic stricken, because they are very aware of the contagious and lethal nature of the virus.”

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
