At Wednesday night’s borough
council meeting in Strattanville,council
members agreed to
pass an ordinance within the borough
requiring all residents to own
and drive a vehicle that is as loud
as possible. Council member 1
made the motion for all residents of
Strattanville to either buy a vehicle
with obnoxiously loud exhaust
or equip their existing vehicle with
a very loud exhaust. Council member
2 agreed with the motion,going
on to state that residents should be
urged to drive their vehicles every
hour of every day. Council member
3 agreed, going on to state that this
should especially be done when people
who have to go to work in the
morning have gone to bed,preferably
after 10 PM. Council member 4
agreed, stating that this was a fabulous
idea;adding that speed should
also be a factor;drive as fast as you
can, despite the fact the speed limit
is 35 on Main Street and 25 on all
side streets. Council member 5 was
also in favor of the motion, stating
that stereos in said vehicles should
be turned up extra loud, adding that
subwoofers are strongly advised being
installed.Council member 6 stated
that state police cannot conduct traffic
stops on these vehicles if there
is an ordinance in place. In other
Strattanville business,there will be no
Strattanville Homecoming in 2018,a
first in many years.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
