Amanze Oleru, Hai Trang, and Sulaymon Batchilly have all recently called it a career after an embarrassing loss to the Lakeside Lions of North Seattle. This loss comes after the Cleveland Eagles went on a record setting run this season, making it farther than any other Cleveland team ever has. With the game close at halftime, Lakeside showed the resilience they have all season and closed out Cleveland 15-9.

When Interviewed by ESPN 4 after the game, Oleru had this to say "They say history repeats itself and tonight my boys left everything out on the field but in the end Lakeside came out on top and there's nothing we could do about that now" Oleru now is looking to pursue a career in Culinary Arts after recent news of his retirement broke "This is a new step in my long journey" He said " Frisbee was a big part of my life but now it's just time to move on to hopefully bigger better things".

As for Trang who also refers to himself as Hairie Swevin Irving, he was deeply affected by the loss but he said “Lakeside is a great team with great spirit kudos goes out to them” While this may seems like a normal press conference answer, Trang is known for his amazing spirit and respect for other teams so this is nothing different then what we’ve seen before. Trang and Batchilly are looking to start a business after they announce their retirements. “ Layout 101 Academy was something we’ve wanted to do for a while and recently things have fallen into place for this to be possible” they both said.

Batchilly is a player who I feel wasn’t idolized in the right way this year and as a result we didn’t see the highlights we were accustomed to, I would perhaps attribute this to the coaching staff. Batchilly told me at an interview “All I wanted to do was bring the ‘Ship back home to where it belongs, New Holly and the soufend”. I can understand Batchilly frustrations because Cleveland joins a list of Southend teams who weren’t able to close out in state finals. Cleveland and Franklin have been in every state title game but have had 0 luck beating Northend teams, combining for a total of 0 First place wins.

As for now Cleveland turns its attention to the upcoming nationals tournament upcoming this spring where they look to hopefully compete to win the National Title and for once bring the banner back to The Land.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
