Highland Park, NJ. -- A stinky situation at a popular park has a community down in the dumps.

An unusual and unsanitary vandal has been polluting the Schmuley Shalom Community Park in Highland Park, New Jersey. Middlesex County Department of Parks and Recreation said human poop has been found about four to five times in the last few months. It was inside the little stall over there," said Keren Goldfarb, as she pointed to the playground equipment where she found a pile of poop hidden where her two-year-old son Avi plays. "Nobody would want your kids to have to deal with that on a playground."

Officials said the person responsible is hiding the poop under a shirt ,yarmulke or bags of a popular Israeli peanut butter snack and when a child or parent picks it up they get a nasty surprise.

"To defecate outside is one thing, but then in a kids park where kids can easily fall into it, that really shocks me," said Boaz Primost, who was at the park playing with his son, Rami.

The culprit has been tough to sniff out. Officials with Parks and Recreation believe it's happening after hours in the dark. We report that each time it's reported, workers have cleaned it up and disinfected the area. In addition to the feces left by the vandal there have been reports that the suspect might use an electronic cigarette called a "Vape" due to a sweet smell and smoke lingering in the area .

Now, Highland Park Police are stepping up patrols. If caught, the person could be charged with a misdemeanor because urinating and defecating in public is prohibited, said police.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
