Australia's Minister for Immigration, Peter Dutton, has been arrested and deported from Australia in a sensational turn of events this afternoon, after it was revealed he had arrived in the country without adequate documentation.
Following his arrest this morning in his home state of Queensland by the Department of Border Protection, Mr Dutton was taken to Brisbane airport and put on the first available flight to one of Australia's off-shore detention facilities.
The arrest followed several hours after Mr Dutton was unable to produce sufficient documentary evidence of actually possessing Australian citizenship, after arriving on shore in Cairns following what he claimed was simply a "fishing trip with friends".
It is expected that the former Immigration Minister will be detained on Narau indefinitely, as Department of Immigration officials struggle to find another country willing to admit him as one of their own.
Malcolm Turnbull, the Australian Prime Minister, is believed to have offered the immigration portfolio to One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson, in another of his gutless displays of appeasement to the far right of the governing Liberal Party.
Mr Dutton is not expected to release any statement to the media, given Australia's draconian regulations affecting freedom of speech by asylum seekers.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow.
