OMAHA, NE -- The results of a six-year study conducted by the University of Nebraska was published on Monday morning that indicate that the perceived threat of dishonest or misleading news content (more popularly referred to as "fake news") is actually just that: perceived.

Dr. William Shatner, the head of the University of Nebraska's Department of ExtrAordinary Discourse (U.N.D.E.A.D.) who led the study over a period of six years, published a paper on the study's findings in the Journal of UnImpeded ControversY (J.U.I.C.Y.), in which he posits that the spread of "fake news" is in fact an urban legend designed to distract from the pursuits of world conquest by secret societies such as the Illuminati and Pee-wee's Herman's Playhouse.

"We started with a very simple process of asking tough questions," writes Shatner. "My lab tech Perry Mason opened a new Google search and typed the phrase 'Does fake news exist?' The results were, to my utter shock and disbelief, almost unilaterally 'no.'"

Dr. Shatner claims that the research almost "did itself" from that point forward.

"It seems to me that there never truly was a threat of biased news that was less than forthright spreading," Shatner continues. "We simply just heard someone say it on TV one day and our society as a whole pretty much just united against it. Fascinating!"

Dr. Shatner plans to publish a similar study on false flag attacks next month.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
