South side male apprehended after altercation with Cook County Sheriffs

At approximately 11:45 AM on Sunday morning, officers from Cook County Sheriffs department arrived at the residence of on Khiry Smith, 25, on the south side of Chicago near Washington Park. Upon arrival, sheriffs say that Smith was in the house under the influence of alcohol, which was obvious from the half empty bottle Smith clutched in his hand as well as the popular street drug ecstasy.
"We received the EM violation order over the radio and were close so we checked it out" -said Officer Bradshaw, who's been a Eletronic Monitoring Investigator for roughly 11 years. "But when we got there the guy was absolutely f**ked up. I don't even think he knows what he did". Witnesses in the building say Smith was a very kind person and that the incident caught them off guard.
The Sheriffs were subjected to verbal abuse. One officer on scene say they heard Smith scream "Suck my d**k. I been in the house for months. Go away" repeatedly to Officer Bradshaw. "The guy was just insane. We couldn't even restrain him properly without the use of tasers"
Smith is currently in the infirmary ward of Cook County Jail undergoing physical and mental review. In the event that he is found responsible for his actions, he will be looking at a sentence of 5 years minimum for assaulting a peace officer on top of the charges that he is currently awaiting trial for on November 30th of this year.
When we attempted to interview Smith, he refused to answer any questions....

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
