Alexander Wright Jr, a professional basketball player from Fayetteville, North Carolina, has finally been nominated to the Basketball Hall Of Fame after eleven successful seasons. Wright's career started in High School at Douglas Byrd in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he had a successful four varsity seasons. He made the All County Team as well as All State which gave him the opportunity to play in the McDonald's All American game with other top High School talent. After High School, Wright continued his career at Brunswick Community College in Bolivia, North Carolina where he shined for two seasons. During his sophomore season he led his team to the NJCAA Tournament where his team lost in the final four. Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida then signed Wright where he finished his final two collegiate seasons and earned his college degree. Wright then began his professional career bouncing around overseas. While overseas he got interest from the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters where he continued his professional career. He then had a short stint in the ABA playing for the Jacksonville Giants before ending his career the last few years with the Harlem Ambassadors show basketball team. Wright is now hanging up his successful basketball career and his focusing primarily on his company "POPS Motivational" where he does motivational speaking all over the country, as well as basketball skills training and fit boot camp. Wright is also known as "Master POF" and trains young POF's the way to succeed off the court. Wright spends his free time training his son Chance who is a rising young player. Wright said "it's a honor to see all my hard work paid off to get nominated to be in the basketball hall of game." Wright is scheduled to be inducted live on NBA TV at 8 PM ET.

    whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

    two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
