It was a gloomy Monday morning after a weight trining class that 5 start recruit Sherrod Lee also known as Slee says he went to shake a defender and heard his knee snap when he hit the ground. At this moment he realized it could be devastating as he track season campaign was in full swing. He immediately got up and tried to walk it off but couldnt really move. Amazingly he still scored a 2 yard touchdown after the injury. Its a that moment he decided to hang his cleats up. His friend remembers him saying " i broke my acl , my career is over" its at the moment she begans to laugh on the phone with one of Slee friends/ teammate. Slee ended up going to the hospital got an x-ray and found it he sprained his knee. He was forced to sit our 2 weeks and see what happens. It was the hardest thing to do becuase two major meets would be happening those two weeks one at The Ram invite where over 20 teams would attend and the first Booker invite in many years. Slee sat out eagerly waiting to put his running shoes back on. As the season went on he was put in as a sub as he was not fully cleared to run again. He didnt not let it hold him back he kept working hard. He eent from missing 2-3 weeks of trackmeets to being an alternate for the teams 4x100m state relay team and the 4x800m relay team as he ran his first 800m in his highschool career at a Regional meet. The team ened up going to states and breaking the school record once again. What a way to finish your senior year.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
