Police responded to a call about a possible shooting near 54th st and Vermont late Sunday night . When they responded they found Glori Marquez, 23, of South LA shaken up, but not harmed. According to Gloria, she was walking home from the bus stop. She was on her way home from her job at Little Caesar's. "I was just walking down the street when I heard tires screech, I looked up and saw a car turn the corner and some guys stuck their heads out and started shooting. They were shouting something about clowns but it happened so fast. It's like a blur." Gloria then said she hopes the shooters are caught so they can't hurt anybody else. Sergeant Bradley Schuman of the LAPD's 77th Division said they believe Gloria was mistaken for a clown due to her makeup, and is lucky she wasn't hurt considering the recent sightings of scary looking clowns being reported around the country. "At this time in our investigation we believe the victim was targeted because of her very flamboyant facial makeup. It was a case of mistaken identity. Women should take extra caution right now because people are on edge when it comes to clowns." Gang violence was ruled out and police believe the shooters did not know Gloria. Witnesses say it was 3-4 black or Hispanic males in a silver sedan. If you have any information, please contact the LAPD 77th division.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
