The truth finally comes out in the upcoming episode 5, titled "One Before Another," of the third season of the American musical drama "Empire."

Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Andre (Trai Byers) are extra careful with all their movements as they wait for Shine (Floyd Anthony Johns Jr.) to retaliate after their supposed business deal did not go as planned. Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), on the other hand, is caught off guard during a routine meeting with her probation officer.

Meanwhile, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) has been out of the spotlight after the unfortunate things he had to go through. In order for him to face his fears, he decides to team up with Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) for a performance that could hopefully help him get his confidence back.

The promo trailer for "One Before Another" shows Lucious reminding his children that it is his duty as the head of the family to teach them how to survive in the real world. Andre, on the other hand, is doing his job to make the meeting between Lucious and Shine happen. However, it seems like Shine wants him to do more than he could offer.

Meanwhile, Lucious tells Jamal that if he wants to help the family business, he may have to go back and perform on the stage again. Cookie warns Hakeem that he should not get on the wrong side of her. The clip ends with an investigation by the authorities, who may have some connection with Shine. Also, Shine is seen pointing a gun at Andre.

In other related news, Variety reports that actress Gina Gershon is booked to appear in the eighth episode of the series. She will portray the role of fashion label founder, Helene Von Wyeth. She will be parterning for her annual fashion show with Lucious' company.

The all-new episode of "Empire" season 3 airs on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 9 p.m. on FOX.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
