Local man Kevin O'Brien has seen his fair share of internet debates. He chooses his battles with words wisely, only engaging with individuals whom he feels are near his level of cognizance. Recently, an individual who requested to remain anonymous, challenged Mr. O'Brien to back up his claims regarding the presidential election.
Anonymous Facebook user wrote, "I am quite sure influencing voters via Wikileaks is different than tampering with actual voter ballots. But you guys have the answers. Tell me. Where are the missing Trump votes gonna be stashed?"
O'Brien offered the following rebuttal: "I've ignored all your political posts in the same fashion that you ignore all the facts surrounding this absolutely criminal woman and her continual manipulation of the voting process. From supporting groups that incite violence at Trump rallies, colluding with the DNC in order to dispatch Sanders from the nomination, to the emails that she deleted after the subpoena was issued, or being supported by dark money and foreign governments through the foundation. But hey, Trump said bad words, so that should be enough for you I guess, just like Romneys war on big bird, or his files full of women(who he was trying to promote). There is absolutely nothing she could do to make you vote otherwise."
Anonymous Facebook user replied, "I am anti-trump no matter what anyone says about anyone else. He is a nut. So yeah picking the lesser of two evils. He is far worse than anyone that has run in a long time."
O'Brien, assuming the close, ended the debate with the following statement: "That's what I thought."
That's what we thought too, O'Brien. Well played.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
