Feds join Kalamazoo counterfeit case after $1.3 million in fake money found

The Kalamazoo Police Department is working with federal authorities to investigate a counterfeiting operation discovered during a traffic stop early Monday morning.
Diontre (YoungObey) Norman, 20, was charged with ten counts of forgery and driving without license. A judge set his bond at $500,000 Tuesday afternoon.
Officers pulled over a Mercedes Benz on Gull Road about 12:30 a.m. Monday after noticing the car didn’t have a rear tag displayed, according to a police report. The driver, Norman, told officers there was nothing illegal in the car.
Inside the car, police found $100,000 cash and “A shit load” of counterfeit money that amounted to about $1.2 million , according to Detective Keith Dugan, a financial crimes investigator with the Kalamazoo Police Department. Police also found two 9 mm handgun in the console with the money.
“He talks very little,” Dugan said of Norman. “He says they just magically appeared in his vehicle.”
We got a chance to talk to Mr.Norman after his release and asked him did he have anything to say his reply

Then he jumped in his new 2016 jaguar and pulled off with his middle finger out the window before we could question him further.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow.
