PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Police are on the hunt for a teen in connection to a triple shooting near Biltmore Commons Apartment Complex that left one person dead and two others injured.
At 9:42 p.m. on October 25, dispatchers received a call about a shooting that had just happened in the first block of Elliot Ave & Deep Creek Blvd. When officers arrived, they found three teens suffering from gunshot wounds. One of them, 17-year-old Noah Spence, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two teens were taken to local hospitals for what are now considered non life-threatening injuries.
Police investigation revealed that two suspects approached a 17-year-old Portsmouth teen, showed a gun and tried to rob him. The man then showed his own gun, and there was an exchange of gunfire. Everyone involved was hit by gunfire.
Police are on the hunt for 17-year-old Andre Thorne, of Portsmouth, in his connection to the incident and if found guilty will be charged with one count of attempted robbery, one count of maiming, two counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
