A Clayton County, Ga. man reportedly posed as a popular Atlanta rapper in order to steal a $350,000 Bentley and then bring it to a local dealer to get the locks changed on them.

Robert Williams is behind bars without bond in Fulton County after he posed as a celebrity to bewitch the owner to giving up the title of a 2014 Bentley Mulsanne while also using a bogus wire transfer.

Williams could have gotten away with it, but when the perpetrator tried to have the locks changed at Bentley Atlanta in North Fulton County. General sales manager Christopher Tuckley didn’t buy the thief’s explanation for bringing the car in and alerted authorities.

“He called in Monday and asked if he could have keys cut for his car, can we program his car,” said Tuckley told WSB-TV.

Tuckley’s hunches were confirmed when Williams also tried to sell the car to him. Of course, Tuckley declined the offer.

" I called Alpharetta Police Department, they ran the VIN number on the vehicle, it came back stolen,” Tuckley said.

Tuckley stalled the perpetrator by agreeing to have some repairs done to the car and told him to return in a few days to pick the car up. When Williams showed up to take back the reigns of the car, Alpharetta authorities were there to greet Williams.

" He stated he had actually purchased the vehicle, that he promised to bring cash to the transaction when the wrecker company dropped the car off at the state line,” said Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon told the news outlet. “Of course he didn’t have cash.”

Gordon got the owner to give up the title using the rapper disguise, then wired a bogus money transfer to the victim. When the victim found out the wire transfer was bogus, Gordon said the car and its title were gone.

“The owner thought it was OK to put the Bentley on a wrecker and send it to the Georgia-Florida state line whereupon the Bentley was picked up,” said Gordon. “Make sure you have cleared funds. Make sure the title process is done correctly to ensure that you don’t become a victim.”

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
