"After seeing Nick race in the 250 a/semi-pro class at New Hampshire's Mx101 in Epoing, we knew he will be a serious competitor in the AMA series." Says Rob Dingman, Ceo of the AMA supercross nation wide racing. Nick Halloran, a 15 year old kid from a city called Haverhill Mass. Nick said after the race "I'm just living the dream I've always wanted " as he placed 2nd out of 19 racers. Nick is only a soohmore in high-school and his sponseres want him to drop out and race full time. Though Nick said his parents aren't fully on board with it yet, He would love to do it . The one and only Travis Pastrana also was at the track scouting, "Nick stuck out like a sour thumb out there" said Travis, the founder of Nitro Circus. "That kid has so much potential in his future." Nick is placed 3rd place in the open class 250 series in the whole entire East coast. His father Mark said "he is just an ordinary kid that loves his adrenaline pumping and he loves to go fast. Everytime were out, he thinks it's a competition." Nick will be racing in 3 weeks in the New England finals for a spot to get into the National Finals. "Personally I hope to see Nick get a podium in the North east finals" said Ryan Dungey of nicks' idols Nick is projected to go to the Nationals. He will be the second youngest competitor since 2007.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
