Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests for Guns and Marijuana Possession 10-25-16

A speeding violation led to the arrest of two subjects on a traffic stop for possession of marijuana and two handguns on Tuesday night 11:42 pm. Alvin Williams, 21, was stopped in the area of Luna Road and US route 395 for speeding when officers could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. The passenger, Leon Jackson (16 ), also provided a false name to police. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded .40 caliber Taurus handgun, Ruger SR40c and 2.3 grams of marijuana. Both subjects were taken into custody without incident.

Alvin Williams was released on $4,000 unsecured bond on for Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon. Leon Jackson was charged with possession of marijuana, criminal impersonation, possession of a handgun as a minor, carrying a loaded handgun and drug paraphernalia. Jackson has been taken into custody into High Desert Juvenile Detention Center. Bond information is not available for Jackson.

Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
