Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail Supervisor Lieutenant Billy Orland Boggs is currently under investigation for having unethical relationships with a former inmate who he has direct care over her fiance who is currently incarcerated at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail.
In addition to the sexual relationship Lieutenant Boggs has had with former inmate Amanda Shifflett, it is also speculated that he has coerced newly hired female officers into having sex with him using his roll as an authority figure to his advantage. He has also been having a confirmed sexual Affair with the facility nurse Amber Wood. He has abused company issued equipment as well as sent and received pornographic materials while on the clock both working and not working.
If this was not bad enough being as unprofessional, unethical, showing the lack of integrity and respect that Lieutenant Boggs has for his career of about 13 years. He is also been married to a Mrs. Brandi Boggs of Ruckersville where they reside with their two children for almost 8 years. Although Mrs. Boggs refused to give us a statement in regards to the above events she did state that her and her husband were happily married and he was a wonderful father and she could not see him ever doing this to their family. It seems as if she were trying to help her husband keep from geeting in trouble although you could hear the pain om her voice.
I understand when most people think of criminals in jail they may feel as though they have or deserve no rights. They are people too and although they made a mistake at some point they are paying the price for it now. They are already doing everything they can to keep their family together and help their loved ones through a difficult time and it is Supervisors like Lieutenant Boggs who has already been under investigation some years prior for the alleged rape of an inmate who make it hard for them to trust those who are supposed to take care of them.
Lieutenant Boggs was cleared of those charges of raping an inmate and promoted shortly thereafter. Which has everyone wondering if the good boy system will win out again and Lieutenant Boggs will be promoted to Captain or if the justice justice system will actually Prevail this time. I hope for the sake of all of those involved that a lie detector test will be administered, although he does know how to pass those as we have seen in the past.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
